A Love That Pursues Me

“Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the Lord forever.” Psalm 23:6

When I think of the word pursue, I think about a car chase. More specifically I think about a police car chasing a runaway would-be criminal. The police officer is committed to the pursuit and will stop at practically nothing to ensure the safety of the citizens he or she has sworn to protect.

Think about that car chase and now think about the words “surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life.” God is committed to his pursuit of you. He will stop at practically nothing to ensure that you have the opportunity to experience his goodness and unfailing love. His desire is that you will dwell in his house forever.
