How Great is Our God

“How great you are, O Sovereign Lord! There is no one like you. We have never even heard of another God like you!” 2 Samuel 7:22 

He parts the seas. He walks on water. He calms the storms. He heals the sick, He raises the dead. He forgives our sins. He calms our fears. He heals the brokenhearted. Who is like our God?

In Him is redemption and hope, grace and peace, victory and unfailing love. No wonder Samuel cries out, “We have never even heard of another God like you!” Why? Because there is no other.

He was there before the beginning. He will be there at the end of all things. And He is here in every moment in between. We can place our confidence in the One who breathed and stars appeared, who spoke and planets were formed. He will never leave us, never forsake us. He is as close the air we breathe. 

All authority, dominion, power and influence belong to Him. There is no other name that is greater than His. It is at His name that every knee must bow. And yet this God, this great, incredible all-knowing, all-powerful God calls you and me his children. He is our Advocate, our Comforter, our Redeemer and Friend.

How great is our God. There is truly none like Him.
