Never Alone

“This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9

There are times when we feel so alone. Depression creeps in. Despair seems to loom in the shadows. But no matter how grim the circumstances, we are never alone. God promised Joshua, “The Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Jesus said, “ Be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” 

There is not one dark shadow that you will have to walk through alone. God is with you. Even when it feels like your suffering is unseen, he is there beside you. He is there in the highs and lows, in the joy and sorrow. The certainty of his presence in our lives does not depend on us but on him. God chooses to be with us. He refuses that we are left alone.
