Don’t Throw Away the Instructions

“Those who love your instructions have great peace and do not stumble.” - Psalm 119:165

Have you ever purchased something that required assembly, but you were pretty confident that you knew how to put it together so you threw the instructions away? (Asking for a friend.)

Most of us don’t like to read the instructions, but if you’ve ever spent an afternoon putting something together then had to take it all apart because you didn’t read the instructions, you will learn to love the instructions. If you follow the instructions carefully, you will do it right the first time and you won’t go to bed stressed.

God has given us a set of instructions for life that will not only reduce stress but will produce great peace. The Bible is God’s instruction book for our lives. Read it. Fall in love with it. Those who love his instructions, his Word, will not only have great peace, they will not stumble or be offended. In other words, they will do it right the first time and they won't go to bed stressed.
