Faith is the Evidence

“Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see.” Hebrews 11:1

Hebrews 11:3 says, "The things which are seen were not made of things which are visible." That's really something when you think about it. Everything we see came from something we can't see. God spoke a Word and what we see moved out of the invisible realm into the visible. What a beautiful picture of faith! Just because we can't see it doesn't mean it doesn't exist. The answer to our prayer may be in a realm that we are not able to see at the moment, but one Word from God can bring it from that realm into this one.

Faith shows the reality of what we hope for. Having faith is knowing that what we hope for is real. It just exists in the unseen realm. Faith is the evidence, that which tends to prove or disprove something. Faith proves that what we hope for is real. It’s the thing we hold onto until the things we are believing for come to pass.
